Shaw Heath Bees FC was founded in 2022 by James Bamgbose, who made the transition from player to player-manager. The team debuted in the Stockport & District League, playing home games at Davenport Playing Fields. In an impressive inaugural season, the Bees went undefeated in their first 10 league matches, maintaining top spot in Division 3 until March. However, a challenging run of results saw them finish the season in 7th place.
Originally operating under the Shaw Heath Athletic umbrella, the club decided to establish its independence after the first season. Moving to the East Cheshire Sunday Football League Division 3, Shaw Heath Bees finished an admirable 5th in their second season, securing promotion to Division 2.
By the start of their third season, the club unveiled a rebranded crest to reflect their unique identity and solidify their status as an independent football club. This marked a new chapter for the Bees, emphasising their growth and ambition.
