The energy was electric as we celebrated the unsung heroes of the Stockport Community.

Our very own Co-Founder and Bees Manager, James Bamgbose, was not only nominated but then sensationally shortlisted from hundreds of entries for a prestigious Stockport Rocks Award!

James was recognised in the highly competitive Health & Wellbeing Award category for his outstanding dedication and tireless work in supporting our local community through his work at Shaw Heath Bees Football Club and beyond..

This nomination is a powerful testament to his selfless contributions and the real impact he makes every single day. While he didn't clinch the overall win, making it to the 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳 from hundreds is a monumental achievement, and in our eyes, James is always a winner! Congratulations Bambi!

The Stockport Rocks Volunteer Awards, held by Sector 3 - Stockport, Stockport Volunteer Hub are all about celebrating the amazing individuals who freely give their time to make a profound difference, and James truly embodies this spirit. We were honoured to connect with so many inspiring people and fellow volunteers who all deserve immense recognition for their vital work.

Shaw Heath Bees are beyond honoured to be presented with The Autisk Inclusive Sports Champion Award at tonight’s incredible Autisk Awards! 

This amazing recognition is all thanks to our incredible players who give up their time every week to make this collaboration thrive and who work tirelessly behind the scenes to gain qualifications and keep raising the bar.

What an unforgettable night, surrounded by the heart and soul of the Autisk community, celebrating passion, inclusion, and everything that makes this community shine.

Shaw Heath Bees FC are proud to announce we have been awarded the Vernon Building Society Community Star Award, recognising the club’s outstanding commitment to making a positive impact across the Stockport community.

The award, which includes a £550 grant, honours local organisations that are actively working to improve lives through grassroots efforts. Shaw Heath Bees FC has been a growing presence in the community since established 3 years ago, delivering inclusive football programmes, supporting young people and families, and building a welcoming, supportive environment through sport.

“It’s an incredible honour to receive this award,” said James Bamgbose, Manager of Shaw Heath Bees FC. “This recognition isn’t just for the club though, it’s for the entire community. We’re passionate about using football as a tool to create real change, and this support from Vernon Building Society helps us keep making that happen. We’re grateful and excited for what’s next.”

The Vernon Building Society Community Star initiative celebrates and supports groups that are dedicated to strengthening local communities. Shaw Heath Bees FC’s commitment to inclusion, development, and social impact made it a standout recipient.

As the club continues to grow, this funding will go toward enhancing coaching, equipment, and community engagement programmes designed to support players of all backgrounds and abilities.

Shaw Heath Bees are thrilled to announce a double win that highlights the spirit and values of our club!

We have been awarded the Cheshire Football Association Club Think Positive Award 2024, a tremendous honour that recognises the incredible work we do both on and off the pitch.

Adding to the celebration, our very own Adam Knight has been named the winner of the Cheshire FA Think Positive Player Award. This accolade is a testament to Adam’s outstanding contribution and the positive example he sets for the game.

This double success is a proud moment for everyone at Shaw Heath Bees, showcasing the strength of our community and commitment to excellence.

Shaw Heath Bees became an FA ACCREDITED CLUB from the 2024/25 Season as we began to grow and develop.

This prestigious award is the result of relentless dedication and passion of everyone involved with The Bees over our first two Seasons.

Being FA accredited means we are among the elite clubs that lead by example, raise the bar, and proudly champion respect and diversity.

As an England Football Accredited Club, we exist for the players, creating opportunities for everyone to experience and enjoy the game we love.

England FA Accredited clubs deliver the best of football, meeting high standards that ensure they are well-run, safe, and sustainable.

This prestigious accreditation confirms that our infrastructure is sound, robust, efficient, and effective.

The accreditation process focuses on the Respect standards and behaviours needed to make football in England something we can all be proud of.

Shaw Heath Bees have been awarded Kick It Out Equality Chartered Club status

The Kick It Out Chartered Clubs scheme is part of the anti-discrimination organisation's efforts to spread its message in the amateur game and encourage as many grassroots clubs as possible to support the fight for equality in football.

And as a club we are proud to support this fight by signing up to the Kick It Out Equality Charter.
